Last sat, went jamming with band members. A sessionist drummer joined us, his drum skills is not bad. To me la. He knows the beat and tempo well. Except for one part of the velvet song by alice nine. The lead guitarist wanted to join the NUS band performance, and just nice, our rhythm guitarist is from NUS. So we can join the performance. Yeah heh.
And i was quite surprised to join this group.
I was looking around at sgcafe forum, lookin for a band to join. Left few messages in some thread. Den tis lead guitarist came into the forum and saw my posts, so he pm me. And so i decided to join him. I decided to join for fun .
All of them are guys.
Ah well.
Most ppl in band are mostly guys

Wad surprises me is that, each of them knows how to play 2 instruments!

I had thoughts before, of havin members who can play 2 instruments, so that we can play different instrument for fun and to surprise ppl.
Out of the blue, i was sooo surprised and didn’t expect really to find such members.
Gosh
The lead guitarist can play both guitar and drums.
For our first jamming session, (after i join them la), the drummer is not in sg, (back in Thailand to celebrate with his family). So the lead guitarist play the drum for the songs. He is quite steady. He knows the song well. Cooool
Den the bassist can play drums too, but he is not so pro as compared to the lead guitarist la. But at least he knows how to play the basics.
We played riyuu. When the bassist plays the drum, the lead guitarist plays the guitar part.
For the rhythm guitarist,..woo . he can play the keyboard. He used to be a keyboardist. And now he changed to guitarist role. He can play the guitar part well too.
As for me, i only know how to play guitar. But not so pro la. But for the song, i for you, by luna sea, i had to listen carefully to the rhythm guitarist part. His tempo and notes is correct. And he kept looking at me, and wanted to know whether did he played correctly. Though i do not have the chords for the song, but i can hear that he played it correctly. Cuz i kept looking at his playing for most of the time. The bassist and lead guitarist is still fine.
Oh ya.. they are all xjapan crazy la. The cute rhythm guitarist played the keyboard, played the song ‘silent jealousy’ . den the lead guitarist went to the drums, and played the drums part. I was likeo_0 wtf...lol. the guys are funny and friendly.
The session drummer can play keyboard too. He played the silent jealousy song too. I was like ...jaws dropping la.. lol
I told a friend who is in a band, he told me to hold on to them and keep up with them. Ya..really. they make me feel motivated, make me feel like continue striving hard , and keep practice on my vocals and guitar.
Oh yeah... the rhythm guitarist is the cutest..lol la..haha. ahh liao. When he was playing the keyboard, he played ‘endless tears’, ‘rain’. Upon hearing it, it made me feel like joining in to sing. But it was too high. I almost died on the spot! And i kept laughing, out of paiseh la... cuz too high la... ah liao. The lead guitarist also joined in singing , for the fun of it. Den the drummer joined in, by playing the drums. The bassist played abit only. At that moment, i could feel there is the mo qi, the bond that all members have, by joining in for the song together.
Den, the cute handsome rhythm guitarist kept looking at me while playin keyboard. I was like 0_o ,,,, u should concentrate on playin keyboard la..dun look at me liddat leh..i veriii shy..
I dunno why,,, i just got so shy la..omg. weird for me to say i am shy ah....wah liaoooo
Anyway, i look forward to the NUS audition and performance and next week jamming session. ^^
One thing to keep me motivated in life. ^^
